Founded upon natural, certain and obvious principles ... according to the usage of the old and new husbandry ... illustrated with plans of the necessary buildings belonging to a farm house [folding plate at page 40] ... also, accurate delineations of some newly-invented farming instruments [line drawings of plows etc. on plate at rear] ... by a Practical Farmer, and a friend of the late Mr. Jethro Tull [etc.]" -- Hardcover, 3/4 leather with printed boards, apparently lacking preliminary pages (title page is first). Page 63 misnumbered as "39." -- Condition: GOOD-ONLY worn copy (backing cracked, cover edges worn to boards). Pages and plates are clear, though there is often print shadow from the verso page; three pages have jagged tear into the text; last pages are loosened. -- Pagination: xxiv [4] 432 pages, [1] leaf plate. -- This book has been reprinted, but the original copy listed here is quite scarce.
