Sobre este artículo

London England: Associated Newspapers Hardback. Foxing to end inside covers and edge. Slight shelf wear to top and bottom edge of spine and corners of cloth. Couple of marks to cloth. Red cloth with gilt lettering. No date. Everyone understands that he is presumed to know the law, but what that law is in any particular case few have a ready means of discovering. The best advice, of course, is to consult a solicitor; for many reasons, however, this is impracticable, and the object of this book is to set before those who have not made an exhaustive study of English law the principles of law applicable to everyday matters, whether connected with business, the home and family, or with social engagements. it will not replace the solicitor, but it will tell when to consult a solicitor, which, from the point of view of the man in the street, is the next best this. It should be remembered that this is not a legal textbook, the traditional methods of textbook-writing have not been observed. The book is written from two points of view: first, that of the reader wishing for a readable exposition of the principles of law on some particular subject; and, secondly, that of the busy man with little time to spare who wishes to look up a special point rapidly. An exceptionally full index has been prepared which will immediately guide him to the page he wants. The book has, therefore, all the advantages of an alphabetical arrangement without its obvious disadvantages. 1018 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.) . Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardback.
