A very useful guide to London in the 18th Century for traders and visitors with lists of streets, Stage Coaches, Merchants, Carmen, Postal Services, etc. This is the ninth edition, published in 1763, with large Additions and Alterations and a map of the city together with a plan of the Royal Exchange. This book was published in two states, one with plates and one without. This copy is one of those published without the plates. Internally very good in a good, only, binding in worn contemporary leather with weak hinges. Collated complete with map which has a closed 0.5cm tear to hinge side but is otherwise complete with fold creases. Indecipherable label remains on front end paper.
