BINDING: Full contemporary blindstamped leather over wooden boards divided by blind fillets into sixteen triangular panels, each containing a rosette, fleur-de-lis, crowned 'M' [Maria] or 'IHS' blind tool (binding lightly worn with neat repair and later gilt-lettered title to head of spine). A very attractive complete copy in its original binding of the Dialogues of Pope Gregory the Great, providing accounts of the miracles of the holy men of sixth century Italy together with the life of St.Benedict.
