Salmon pink cloth, lettered in gilt on spine, which has a faint teardrop stain just below the title. 20 x 14 cm. Small neat name on fep. Slightly frayed and marked dj, with top 2cm of spine missing and 1cm strip of clear tape at foot of spine. Endpapers and edges a little spotted, overall a good clean copy of an edition scarce in dustjacket. First publication of Memoirs of a Fox-hunting Man, Memoirs of an Infantry Officer and Sherston's Progress in one volume.
Sinopsis
Memoirs of a Fox-Hunting Man is a novel by Siegfried Sassoon, first published in 1928. It won both the Hawthornden Prize and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, being immediately recognised as a classic of English literature. In the years since its first appearance, it has regularly been a set text for British schoolchildren.
