Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1899. Hardcover. Good. Cabinet edition. 12mo. 650pp. Frontispiece portrait of Whittier. Bound in three quarter brown leather and marbled paper over boards, gilt spine, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. With a long, neatly written inscription in ink on the second front fly leaf (dated Xmas 1908). The leather backstrip and both boards are detached, front free endpaper and flyleaf is detached, else very good.
