Doubleday & Company, 1952. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Very Good ; Good Slipcase. 1952 Doubleday & Company. Book Club Edition. Complete in two volumes, in slipcase. Hardcovers have grey cloth-covered boards with green and gold spine lettering; front cover has gold symbol that commonly appears on Maugham's books on a green background. Vol. 1 East & West, 955 pages; Vol. 2 The World Over, 681 pages. Black textured paper-covered slipcase has green paper paste-on paper panel with black and white lettering on the front. Bindings tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Books are in excellent condition with only a hint of shelf wear at the spine ends. Vol. 1 has a single dog-eared page and some bent corners on a few pages from when someone put the book back in the slipcase and caught them on the edge. Volume 2 also has one dog eared page. Pages clean and unmarked. No dust jackets. Slipcase has bumped and chipped corners with cardboard visible in a few spots. Paper covering has light surface and edge wear; top and one side have some scuffs. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
