There is pencil underlining and annotating throughout volume 2 and on just a couple pages of volume 1. Hinges on volume 2 a little shaken. Jackets are clean with no rips or tears. This two volume set is in excellent condition. The pages of both volumes are clean and neat. The binding is tight and all pages are intact. The boards are clean and neat. They are more vivid blue than picture indicates. The spine is clean and neat. The dust jackets have no tears. There are scuff marks on both volumes. Volume 2 dust jacket has a 2 inch scratch along the back bottom edge which does not affect the book binding.
