Good blue cloth hardcover (no dust jacket if issued) with gilt and black decoration to cover and spine shows some lean to spine, rubbing at edges with bumping to corners, soil to rear cover, previous owner sticker at top corner of front paste down, rubbing with touch of pencil shadow at top corner of front end paper, couple of internal splits and some other light trace wear including some waviness to pages and some wrinkling at rear end paper. 448 pages with frontispiece, decorative end papers and followed by other Chatto & Windus titles. Still a pleasing copy of this volume in the complete works collected and revised by the author.
