Sobre este artículo

London / Totawa, New Jersey: Valentine Mitchell, 1988. INSCRIBED / SIGNED by Walter Scharf directly on the front free endpaper. Very Good condition in a bright and shiny Near Fine dust jacket (only very lightly rubbed) NO chips, tears or creases. The book itself is square and tight, with sharp corners, but rated only Very Good because the bottom third of the front cover has some soil or maybe fading? NOT bad -- PHOTOS UPON REQUEST. NOT a remainder. NOT a library discard. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. Photo illustrated. Has much on those Scharf worked with: Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Danny Kaye, Jerry Lewis, Howard Huges, Michael Jackson, etc. Filmography. Bound in the original blue boards, stamped in gold. From the dust jacket: "The story of one of the most important backroom boys of Hollywood -- composer, musical director of some 400 motion pictures, the holder of 18 Oscar nominations and countless Emmys and other musical awards… He taught Barbara Streisand to sing for the movies, when he was at the baton for her first film, FUNNY GIRL…". INSCRIBED / SIGNED by Walter Scharf. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good condition/Near Fine dust jacket. Illus. by NOT a library discard. 8vo. xiii, 231pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
