Owners Gordon and Betty Edge hosted Presidents and famous personalities in Houston for half a century with these distinctly Southern recipes. Signed "The Confederate House in now a memory. However, the legacy of her hospitality, fine food and the memoirs of my grandmother's diary remain forever with the pages of this simple book. Mary Jo Bell / 2002" directly on the FFEP. Additional note from Bell in regards to the Shrimp salad laid-in. "Southern Cooking Tip" text throughout (think lard and cost-savings).
