Paris, France: Garnier Freres, 1877. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket (As published). 4 1/2" x 7. VERY GOOD/NO JACKET.Issued. In FRENCH.. 583, toned but very clean, used gently. P.O. name on FFEP. Inside covers and first end papers are beautifully marbled in reds, off-whites, blues, greens. Page edges have the same design and colors. Paper-covered boards are marbled in browns and beige; spine is in light brown calf's leather, with horizontal ribs. Gilt lettering on spine is on dark backgrounds, much of which is missing on the title block. Edges are rubbed, especially on spine, which is also a bit spotted. Corners slightly bumped. Paper on back boards has a small tear/crease. An altogether a pretty and great collectible!
