Elaborately decorated Folio Society edition of Atkinson's edited transation of Freile's great history of conquest of Colombia, written around 1638 but only appearing in 1859. With b/w illustrations by Harold Bennett. Maps to end-papers. Complete with slipcase. Slipcase has rubbing and splitting to bottom panel. Light sunning and marking to spine. Very faint foxing to fore-edge. Contents clean and tight. Very good overall.
