Sobre este artículo
New York: Hillary House Publishers, 1963. Hardcover. Small 4to. Brown cloth. ix, 367pp. Very good. A tight and handsome facsimile of the 1924 first edition (The Macmillan Company). The first edition is a bit scarce and even this facsimile a bit uncommon. Archer Jones calls this "A detailed account and excellent evaluation of Confederate and state conscription activity," while Martin Abbott notes, "Details the nature and operation of the Confederate draft system, and adds an exhaustive description of resentment to conscription." NEVINS I, 11 and II, 174.
