Covers sharp and clean. Spine has a touch of curve, no reading creases. Text block has off white edges, with the occasional feint mark. Feels lightly read. Near fine condition. Heavy weight translucent paper jacket has wear to the top edge due to being 3mm oversized, there is an open tear without loss to the top edge of the front panel, and another one at the head of the spine. There is a further tear to the top edge of the rear panel. The foreedge of the front panel is worn with three minor losses, and 30mm tear. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a quality addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. This is a UK Hodder uncorrected bound proof, the covers have the bee design of the release jacket and the words "uncorrected bound proof" to the lower corner of the front panel, no other words are printed on the volume. The titles and the praise of John le Carre, are printed on to the translucent paper jacket. The last image shows the jacket in the fitted archival cover. Sinopsis
The Constant Gardener is a 2001 novel by John le Carré. It tells the story of Justin Quayle, a British diplomat whose activist wife is murdered. Believing that there is more behind the murder, he seeks to uncover the truth behind her death, and finds an international conspiracy of corrupt bureaucracy and pharmaceutical money.
