Size octavo, 45 pages. Original Black cloth covered boards with decorative gilt titles and pretend hinges and clasp in gilt to front cover, plain spine, all edges gilt. Pale green paste downs, end papers and pages throughout. Condition good, hinges slightly loose, part of backstrip on spine starting to come away, gift inscription to front end-paper else contents very clean. A Selection of poems by Betjemen. Each starting with an ornate decorative capital. With a few vignette illustrations and photogravures by Osbert Lancaster and de Cronin Hastings. Featuring the famous poem "Slough
