Hollister invested twelve years researching and writing this broad ranging local history book. This treasure sets forth Indian and geologic history of the Valley. The first permanent white settlements in 1769 are described. There is a listing of Lackawanna Valley residents from 1769 to 1776 and biographies of prominent settlers.
