London: Robert Hardwicke, 1874. A lovely copy of this first edition. green cloth with gilt titles and border to the front board. Frontis engraving of an Orchid House (complete with waterfall). Four beautifully hand coloured plates and black and white engraved vignettes and illustrations throughout. The cloth is in very nice clean condition, with just a little bumping to the top of the spine. Internally clean, but very slightly darkened. iv. 160 pages. 180 by 120mm (7 by 4¾ inches).
