Sobre este artículo
Melbourne: Government Printer, 1855. Very good condition. Victorian parliamentary blue paper recording the exchange of letters between James Tarleton, U.S. Consul to Australia and Australia's Lieutenant Governor Sir Charles Hotham regarding the Eureka Rebellion in Ballaarat.
Tarleton says in his first letter that 'the prime movers were Scotchmen' and later denies any American citizens were involved ('I have every confidence that my countrymen throughout this colony will keep themselves in the proper position'). In the last letter printed here, Hotham however informs the US consul that "the leader of this movement is a young American".
Victorian parliamentary blue paper, 8 1/2 X 13", single leaf.
