Francis Ysidro Edgeworth's (1845-1926) paper in which he descriubes the first systematic analysis of correlation in relation to the normal distribution. Herein he coins the term "coefficient of correlation." vii, [1], 533 pp. 8vo. 10 plates, all folding. Rebound in an exquisite three quarter leather binding with brown leather spine with four raised bands, gold embossed titling on black leather patch titles, marbled paper insets to cover boards. Only indication of ex-library status is Japanese ink stamp on the title page. Very clean within.
