First edition with matching years of 1900 on the title and copyright page, and with the plate opposite page 2 captioned: "[Page 2" (BAL 3459). Very good condition in the publisher's original gilt-stamped red cloth binding. The spine is slightly slanted and is sunned, with the spine lettering faded but legible. The rear hinge is cracked.
