Sobre este artículo
Rome: Largo Brancaccio, 1938. 1st edition thus. Hardcover in navy cloth boards w gilt spine titling (Lingua Amhrica.); contains the original edition with cream wraps and red titling.. Fine, a few small markings.. This book was published soon after Mussolini conquered Ethiopia and was likely an Ethiopian language guide for occupying personnel. Thus it is both an early linguistic handbook of the Ethiopian language and a historical curiosity relating to the Second Italo-Ethiopian War (1934-36), published at the height of Mussolinis popularity by a Fascist press. The author also wrote a few books in Italian about Islam and Mohammed. This copy is completely intact in its original paperback edition but rebound as a hardcover with numerous blank pages preceding and following the original edition. Not a library copy; no markings other than small owner signature and a few small marginal notes on the original. Text in Italian language. Extremely rare historical collectible in near perfect condition.
5 x 6-3/4 , 64 pp with numerous blank pages before and after.
