Sobre este artículo

London, England: Bryan Robinson, 1743. Second Edition. Hardcover. Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Extremely scarce in the trade, there being only a single additional copy available on-line. Stated Second Edition, bound in calf leather, gilt lettered title over red Morocco leather in one spine compartment. Richard Helsham, M.D., was also a Professor of Physics and Natural Philosophy in Dublin, Ireland and, at the time, a contemporary of and friend to the likes of Jonathan Swift. He discourses simply upon hydro- and electrostatic, air, wind, pulleys, light, color, and other aspects of the natural world. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete. Printed for J. Nourse, at the Lamb, without Temple-Bar. Bound in scuffed and rubbed leather, protected in stiff plastic, but the front board is nearly detached, holding on by two threads. Upper joints cracked a bit, rubbing to, scuffing of spine head and foot. Red-speckled fore- and bottom-edges, top-stained in red. Five raised bands to spine of this octavo format text, red and black lettering to title page. Generally clean interior, a few dog-eared pages. Plentiful lectures ranging from "Of Attraction" and "Of Repulsion and Central Forces" to "Of Friction" and "Of the Motion of Projects." xi [1], 2-404 pp. and with plentiful fine black-and-white illustrations hors-texte and in fold-out.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
