First American printing, near fine hardcover is tight and clean with illustrated plates at center of book sticking out a tiny bit further than rest of pages at fore edges, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) showing clip at bottom of front flap though price remains at top, along with edge wear including short closed tears and a few tiny open chips. 227 pages with a set of black & white plates. Still an attractive copy of this examination of the court of Richard II, a son of the Black Prince, King Edward.
