Faint edgewear at head and tail of spine. A tight, attractive later printing of this 1912 nonfiction overview of the criminal justice system by this New York County assistant district attorney better known as a mystery novelist (1875-1945) who pioneered the courtroom thriller genre and immortalized attorney Ephraim Tutt.
