This is a reprinted version of the original Book by the well-known American Author, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The First Edition and printing of this classic Book was in 1858 and copyrighted by Longfellow. Eventually, the rights to publish Longfellow's Books again was assigned to Houghton, Mifflin & Company. In 1903, they contracted with Bobbs-Merrill Company to publish this Edition.
This Book is the story of the courtship of Miles Standish and his future wife, Priscilla, as the name of the Book implies. The setting is early colonial America at the time of the pilgrim settlers.
