Sobre este artículo
Milan, Italy: Gruppo Editoriale Fabbri, 1994. First Edition . Decorative Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Questa non è una edizione bilingue. Testo in inglese solo, non in italiano. Stampato in Italia. Le tavole a colori sono state stampate in Italia. This is the English language edition, not the Italian language edition. First edition, first printing, July 1994. This is copy no. 620 of an unstated limitation, probably not exceeding 1,000. Printed and bound in Italy. Gorgeous black silk or silk-like cloth, with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the front board and to the spine. Also with a pristine color paper illustration to the front board. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners. The binding is impressively clean. 12 x 12 inches. Text block firmly bound in. With 164 numbered pages, including numerous full-page, full-color plates. Also with several B&W illustrations. Text pages on cream-colored matte stock, plates on heavy-weight, glossy black stock. An exceptionally clean volume, and quite tight, with scant evidence of shelf life. Likely unread. No remainder marks. Lovely, full-pictorial, medium-duty slipcase, bound in matching black fabric on the edges and black paper on the boards. Just a hint of rubbing to the slipcase. A Fine copy in a Near Fine slipcase. This is the third volume of a series, Collezione Antonio Ratti. The 95 specimens of silk ribbons and cravates selected and analyzed by Irmgard Peter represent a group of approximately 450 ladies' cravates, for the most part documented to Charles Rebours and dated from 1865 to 1880. They provide documentary evidence of the production of Saint Etienne, one of the most important centers engaged in the manufacture of this type of textile.

Sobre Marc Sena Carrel
I deal principally in rare and fine books. I also sell antique prints, including Japanese ukiyo-e. I have eclectic and wide-ranging interests and my collection generally emphasizes art titles. Areas of book specialization include: Art, Architecture, Design, Antiques, Antiquities, Small Press/Fine Press. As for prints, I am chiefly interested in ukiyo-e, ornithologicals, iconography and churches. I have a small but choice selection of books and prints available for the discriminating collector/buyer. My goal is to establish and maintain a stock in trade of a few thousand fine books and a few hundred noteworthy prints.
