The Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1955-58. Starting in 1949 as an idea Sir Vivian Fuchs became the leader of the Expedition that traversed Antarctica from Shackleton Base to Scott Base via the South Pole. 338 pages with 30 colour and 42 black and white photographs, and 9 maps. Book in very good+ condition with some fading and a few marks to spine (see photo). No dust jacket.
