Features four essays titles as follows: Work, Traffic, War and The Future of England. The essay 'Traffic' is among Ruskin's most popular works, commenting on taste and themes of morality. With the prize bookplate of Casterton School to the front endpaper, awarded to Ruth Knight awarded for History dated 1938. A truly charming copy of this notable work. In a full calf binding. Externally very smart. Light patches of rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, with light patches of rubbing also to the joints and extremities. Light fading to the front board. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
