Portland, OR: Oregon Journal, The Journal Auditorium, 1950. 4to. [24 pp (unpaginated).], illustrated throughout. Textured printed gray softcovers, maroon lettering front & back covers (minor age toning, shelfwear), still VG bright copy, from library of Wright Lewis, former owner of Green Dolphin Books in Portland, OR. First edition of this nicely printed exhibition catalogue for the “first showing of family-owned works by the well known Northwest artist.” Price was a pioneering American expressionist, who drew upon his experiences traveling by covered wagon to Wyoming, and homesteading in Alberta, Canada. Portland Art Museum held his first retrospective exhibition in 1942, and these included a number of his WPA projects, including some proposed for Timberline Lodge, Multnomah County Library, and others.
