Sobre este artículo
Cambridge, Massachusetts and London: Harvard University Press, 1992. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 8vo: 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Drawing on evidence from literature and art, Kern examines the changing attitudes towards love and sex among Victorians and Moderns. Features Heideggar's existential philosophy and the quest for authentic experience. Larger octavo in black papered boards with silver titling on the spine. Includes 57 b&w illustrations embedded with the text., bibliographical references and an Index. Dust jacket is at least good plus, though it has a short closed tear and a couple of related creases to the front panel and a tiny closed tear to the rear. Otherwise mild wear and rubbing. The book appears to be unread. Binding square and tight. Minor wear only. No markings.

Sobre Pulp & Circumstance
Welcome to Pulp & Circumstance on Biblio. Once a brick and mortar bookseller, I am pleased that I can now offer scarce and/or collectible books and other items via this platform.
P&C strives to ensure that all items are clean and fairly described. Packages will be wrapped with care and dispatched as soon as feasible, usually on the next business day.
We do not use stock photos. All our photos are of the actual item offered for sale. We try to include the publishers' own descriptions of content by including photos of dust jacket flaps and back covers so far as they seem useful, and we also use photos to show material flaws where we can.
The "Pulp & Circumstance" watermark you might notice in some of our photos does not, of course, appear on any of the items themselves.
Please note that the colour in our photos often fails to come out right. The hue shifts a bit due to the limitations of our equipment, the lighting in our workshop, and of course my own lack of photographic expertise.
Shipping costs per book are always cheaper when more than one book is sent in the same package. Read more about shipping charges in "Terms of Sale" below.
Feel free to ask any questions you might have by email. We will usually respond within 24 hours. Happy browsing!
