A fine first edition of Mark Haddon's popular mystery novel, in the original dust wrapper for the children's edition of the work. First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Written by English novelist Mark Haddon, who won the Whitbread Book Award for Best Novel and Book of the Year as well as the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best Fiction Book and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. This work was published simultaneously in separate editions for children and adults in different dust wrappers, although with no textual differences. This is the children's edition. Told in the first person perspective by Christopher John Francis Boone, a fifteen year old boy who describes himself as 'a mathematician with some behavioural difficulties'. It is a mystery novel, following Christopher's discovery of his neighbour's dead dog. Subsequently, this popular novel has become a successful stage show. With charming illustrations throughout. In the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is excellent, with very minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Fine

Sinopsis

Wondrous-Brilliantly inventive, full of dazzling set pieces- Not simply the most original novel I've read in years-it's also one of the best' The TimesThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a murder mystery novel like no other. The detective, and narrator, is Christopher Boone. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's, a form of autism. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down.
