Twenty-four years later she was identified as a white woman and returned to her family with her youngest child. She resisted all attempts to re-assimilate, tried several times to escape back to her family and, after her daughter died of fever, refused to eat and died shortly after her.Jack Van Zandt played John Christopher Columbus Hill a 13-year-old who accompanied his brother and father on the Mier Expedition.
