Avon Publications, New York, 1944. First Edition (Shown But Not Stated). Softcover. Near Fine/--. Paperback. Avon Book T-259. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior NEAR FINE / Covers Very Good Plus. Covers are red, lettering white/yellow, front has red/black official U.S. Army photo of soldiers running, back has red/black official U.S. Army and a U.S. Navy photo, all photos by Ewing Galloway. Spine is slightly cocked. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, one 5/8 inch rip on back edge of spine, two old bent corners restored flat, one vertical crease beside spine on front and maybe one on spine, spine is white and is slightly age darkened, front cover has several small bits of colour off top edge, back cover has two small chips near the spine, book has minor edge wear. Page edges 3 yellow slightly sunned and with a few small dots of some sort of stain. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat. Small bit of age darkening inside covers at binding and on edges of some pages. Page 216 has a 5/8 inch rip in the side edge with a 3 1/2 inch diagonal crease in same area and a small (about 1/4 x 1/4 inch) bit of bruising to the paper in same area. Avon Price 35 cents. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
