Bobbs-Merrill, 1953. Stated First Edition. Hardcover. Excellent/Very Good Plus. 7x5x1. Paul Laune. Stated First Edition! 71 Year Old Book! Great Vintage Hardback Childhood of Famous Americans Book with Dust Jacket. Book is in Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text is in Excellent condition and appear to be Unread! Book is from a private collection. There is a name and date ("Christmas Dec 25, 1953") written neatly in the upper left hand corner inside the front cover. There is some minor spotting to some of the top outside page ends, but it has little to no effect on the inside top borders. Outside cloth covers are very nice with very minor corner wear. Dust Jacket is NOT price clipped ($1.75). Dust Jacket is very nice with no issues other than "921 Bea" has been written at the top of the inside front flap very neatly. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Great copy of this classic for the Boy Scout! This book was written the year I was born (1953) and is dedicated to Pack 432 of Silver Spring, Maryland. I was in Pack 434 of Silver Spring, Maryland!
