London: Michael Joseph, 1968. First edition. Hardcover. 208pp. Octavo [20.5 cm] Black cloth-effect paper over boards, with a gilt stamped title on the spine. With the pictorial dust jacket designed by Michael Trevithick. Very good. The top edge of the text block is foxed. Light edge wear on the spine and covers. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown, and a name in pen on the half title page. In a very good dust jacket with age-toning. The multiple chips and closed tears in the edges have been backed with four pieces of tape. The dust jacket is also mildly rubbed and scratched. A lost race novel.
