First printing of the Sidewinder edition, Fine minus, unread book with slight edge wear bottom of spine, in a Fine minus dust jacket with edge wear bottom of spine. This was Hillerman's second Joe Leaphorn mystery. Introduction by Margaret Coel. Dust jacket art and illustrations by the Navajo artist Ernest Franklin. This copy has been signed by Tony Hillerman and Ernest Franklin on the title page. The original edition won the 1974 Edgar Award.
Sinopsis
Dance Hall Of The Dead is the second of the Navajo Tribal Police series of crime fiction novels by Tony Hillerman. Centered around the character of police Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, Dance Hall of the Dead is, like many of Hillerman's books, set on the Navajo Reservation in the Four Corners region of the American Southwest. Themes of the book include the Zuni religion and hostility between the Navajo and the Zuni.
