Sobre este artículo
The Fortune Press, London., [1946]. First edition. Octavo. 23 pages. Dustwrapper designs and black-and-white drawings by Edward Wolfe.Inscribed by the artist on the front free endpaper: "with best wishes Edward Wolfe". Edward Wolfe (1897-1982) joined Roger Fry's Omega Workshops in 1917, where he painted abstract designs on textiles and ceramics. From 1918 he was exhibiting with the London Group, alongside Duncan Grant, McKnight Kauffer and Vanessa Bell. Wolfe was one of the first British artists to become attracted to, and influenced by, Modigliani and Matisse. He was called "England's Matisse" because of his vibrant use of colour. Cover edges a little bruised. Very good indeed in very good, slightly marked dustwrapper a little rubbed and creased at the edges.
