Orig. gilt-pictorial cloth, T.e.g., non-priceclipped d/js. A few very minor chips to ends of spine panels of d/js, else fine. Laid in is "Sketch of Center of New Era Model City," designed by Charles Caryl in 1897 as a utopian center. Burnham reimagined Chicago after the fire, largely creating the modern city.
