Achton Friis was a Danish illustrator, painter and writer, who participated in the Denmark Exhibition to Northern Greenland in 1906-1908. His work De Danskes Land provides a comprehensive description of the regions, people, and nature of Denmark.

You get one antique Die Juden in Memmingen by Dr. Julius Miedel 1909 softcover book published by Otto in Germany. This item is in German. This book is in good overall condition with some wear to its covers and edges. The spine is cracked in the back and the last ten, or so, pages are attached by two of the threads, but are not completely loose. The foldout Guggenheimer family tree is still attached to the inside of the rear cover. The pages are clean, except for an etching of a church on the first page, and have slight tanning. Included free are a few old articles. There are no print copies available in WorldCat, This item is 8 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide. These measurements are approximations to give you an idea of the size of the book. Please see all pictures.

This 1995 sale was huge, even by Sotheby's standards, running for 2 weeks. This catalogue set was limited to 20K copies, and includes a foldup Baden family geneology, measuring 3'x2'. The six volumes include: Volume I: Furniture, Clocks & Tapestries; Volume II: Art; Volume III: Ceramics & Glass; Volume IV: Furniture & Decorations; Volume V: Pictures & Prints; Volume VI: European & Oriental Ceramics & Glass.
