Ellis and Elvey, 1895. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1895. No Edition Remarks. 440 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with a vellum spine strip and gilt. Rough cut on two edges. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. End papers are more notably tanned. Heavy damp staining to end papers and rear of book. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Heavy damp staining to spine.
