A third by the chief of NY detectives, Thomas Byrnes, "Criminal Life and Detective Experiences in the Great Metropolis". Book's spine & tp say 250 illustrations but the list of illustrations numbers 251. There are 15 full page illustrations. Campbell, Knox & Byrnes have tissue guarded full page engraved portraits preceding their parts. .
