With twelve etched plates. With a half title and with the subscribers list and publisher's advertisment to the rear. With fascinating marginalia throughout by Charles H Croxford c1900. Noel Thomas Carrington (Also Nicholas Toms Carrington) was an English schoolmaster and poet. This narrative poem is an important topographical work with extensive notes and a preface by W Burt Esq, secretary of the chamber of commerce Plymouth. In a half calf binding with gauffered gilt foredge. Externally, sound with rubbing particularly to extremities. Front joint starting but still reasonably firm. Front hinge strained but still firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright with occasional spots and marginalia throughout. Some offsetting at plates. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
