Sobre este artículo
New York: The Hobart Company, 1903. Charles King (1844-1933) served under Crook in the Apache Wars and later on in the Spanish-American War and the Phillipines, also finding the time to author some sixty volumes. In the fashion of the day, his western tales are romanticized but also have an authentic ring. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Red ribbed cloth binding, ruled in black with gilt lettering. Tipped to the cover is a color print of the gorgeous Lakota daughter. This edition has eight illustrations by Frederic Remington and Edwin Willard Deming. Clean text; 306 pages; top edge gilt. Mildly rubbed and bumped; some soiling, mostly to rear panel. The spine has faded a bit, and there may have been a sticker there at some point (a darker spot of about 1" square ). An interesting and attractive work on the American West. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Frederic Remington, Edwin Willard Deming.
