Uncommon copy with its original dust jacket. 1924 1st edition thus; Charles Scribner's Sons; New York. This edition features wonderful illustrations in color by N.C. WYETH - there are nine full-page color plates in all, as well as an illustrated title page in color, and illustrated end papers in color. Condition:
Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Bright gilt lettering on the spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. There is a small stain at the long edge of the text block. Clean interior with only a Christmas inscription written in pen dated 1924 on the front end paper. Summary page xv has a few small tears at the outer edge from being separated from its facing page. Overall the book is in Very Good condition. The dust jacket is in Fair condition only with most of the spine missing, and pieces missing at the top edge of the front cover and at the flap corners.
