About fine with only a faint hint of darkening to the spine in a fragile and torn dust jacket with some darkening to the front panel and spine and with some small chips and tears. Illustrated with three terrific wood engravings by Julian Wehr. The basis for the film Dead End which introduced the Dead End Kids and was directed by William Wyler, starring Sylvia Sidney, Joel McCrae, Humphrey Bogart, Wendy Barrie, Claire Trevor, and Marjorie Main.
