Sobre este artículo

New York, NY, U.S.A.: Morrow/Avon, 1996. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. As New/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by author on title page. In a town once described as the Sodom of the New World, the family craze is in full swing--movie stars posing pregnant on the cover of 'Vanity Fair,' powerhouse agents breast-feeding at Spago--giving rise to the latest show-biz phenomenon--the Hollywood mom. Lucy Freers, an animation filmmaker, is one of this new breed. Her marriage to the well-known Hollywood producer Kit Freers is developing widening rifts and her daughter, Chloe, seems to be learning her values from MTV. And when glamorous neighbor Julia Prentice is found naked and dead in Lucy's pool, the façade of her perfect life is irrevocably shattered. Desperate to restore some normalcy to her life and to unlock the puzzle behind wild Julia's demise, Lucy submerges herself beneath the veneer of family values in Hollywood. In the course of her investigation, she has a brush with an affair with a sexy young screenwriter and an even closer brush with death as she delves into a world where there lurk as many unexpected plot turns as in any Hollywood thriller. As new, first edition, first printing, review copy with publisher's material laid in, in fine, mylar-protected dust jacket. [Not remainder-marked or price-clipped] BB

Sobre Joe Staats, Bookseller

Modern Literature, Mysteries, and More!
We specialize in collectible, contemporary signed first editions. First edition means the first printing. (Later printings of the first edition are typically not printed on acid-free paper, and should be avoided by collectors.) Signatures are obtained by us in person. Inscribed books sold by us may contain a line, a phrase, or a sketch that the author has chosen to add. Our signed books are not dedicated to anybody in particular (not to your grandmother, your Aunt Gladys, your ex-lover or your former cellmate), except in the rare case of a presentation copy from an author to a noteworthy person. All our books are hardcover, unless the book is an Advance Reading Copy, Uncorrected Proof, or PBO. You can expect that the books we send you will be as described, and in a physical condition worthy of the author’s having signed them. We do not sell remainder-marked books, signed or otherwise
