Sobre este artículo

New York: Random House, 1993. First edition (stated). Near fine in like jacket.. Signed first printing of this moving and important memoir of Sister Helen's ministry on death row that was successfully adapted for the screen. Made famous by the 1995 Academy Award winning film of the same name starring Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon (who won for Best Actress), this copy is warmly (and appropriately) inscribed to fellow activist, Elise Goldman. Goldman was a prominent environmentalist in Maine and co-founder of the Lakes Environmental Association. A nice association between' two women advocates for human rights. 9.25'' x 6''. Original quarter black cloth over black boards. In original unclipped ($21.00) dust jacket. 278 pages, including index. Inscribed by Prejean on the half-title page: "To Elise / My sister & my ardent / colleague in the struggle / for human rights - / Keep the lamp lit. / Helen Prejean / November 1993." Trace shelfwear and rubbing here and there. Inscribee's name penned to front free endpaper ("Elise Goldman"). Else clean and bright overall.
