Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1938. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 0x0x0. Signed. First English edition. Signed by the author on the official bookplate which has been pasted under the front board. Supplied with a good facsimile dust jacket. The boards are a touch edge worn, but remain otherwise strong and sturdy. Internally, there is some foxing to the block of the book, but this does not extend into the text. There are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are neat, crisp and complete. The binding is secure. JK. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
Sinopsis
Elizabeth Bowen was born in Dublin in 1899. She wrote many acclaimed novels, including The Heat of the Day and Eva Trout . She was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 1948. She died in 1973.
