Sobre este artículo
New York: Thomas Dunn/St. Martin's Press, 2008. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. A relative newcomer to the mystery-detective genre, Canadian-born Richards has written a historical mystery set in Depression era Los Angeles. It features Kitty Pangborn, secretary to Dexter J. Theroux, one of the city's hard-drinking, tough-talking P.I.'s, and who, Kitty learns, may not always be on the right side of the law. First printing, first edition (with complete numberline). About 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches, 261 pages in black paper-covered boards with silver lettering on spine. Dustjacket's front panel shows shady-looking man in a fedora seated behind a desk and pouring himself a drink while eyeing the young woman leaning against the desk with a pistol in her hand. Small remainder dot on bottom edge of text, o/w boards and text are complete, clean and unmarked, binding tight and square. Not ex-library, free of any significnat flaws. Dj shows light surface and edge wear, no tears, creasing or chipping. Not price-clipped. A collectable copy from a newcomer with promise.
